I, ____________________________, will not use WCJC or WCJC affiliates’ public computers for anything other than their intended use. I understand that these computers have been made available to me to study and/or complete my class work. Internet use is electronically monitored and reported. Students who surf to other entertainment, communication, or “inappropriate” web sites will be referred to the site supervisor and may lose Internet privileges or be asked to leave. This activity will be considered Bad Conduct as defined in the WCJC Students Handbook, page 34 as: “disorderly conduct or lewd, indecent, or obscene conduct or expression on college-owned or controlled property or at college-sponsored or supervised functions.”
Distance Learning Policies
1. MUST BE co-enrolled in an AEL (ESL or GED) instructional class (day or night) with consistent attendance demonstrated
2. Must complete a short AEL Distance Learning Orientation online
3. Basic computer skills needed
4. Internet access is a must
5. Distance learner needs to be self-motivated, organized, and possess strong study skills
6. All distance learning work must be done outside of instructional class
